king my burdon

king my burdon, life my joy,
friend of no one, love a toy.

reach beneath the crust to see, what mother nature brings to thee,
hide under the rug for fear, that pawns might comindeer.

rude to pesants, peace is gone
the essence dead, it sleeps through dawn.

reach beneath the crust to see, the burdon that could over take me
king to all is hard on one, so cry until the pain is done.

  3. Regan, this poem has a unique rhythm and rhyme...not sure I understand it, but I do like a few lines. "reach beneath the crust to see what mother nature brings to thee." This reminds me of imperialistic countries mining for something. I don't understand the line "love a toy." Fun poem though.
