A Flowers Burden

Some say i hold great power because i am a flower
All i get to do is stare at the sun; when really i'd rather run
At night it gets dark and I hear a lark
When it rains im opposite of sad
Because my soil is very bad
Its a boring life that i lead
No one knows just what i need
Watch where you step, i live in the ground
Though you will never hear me make a sound

  1. I like this because if you think about a flower i am sure they feel really neglected

i agree, can you imagine a world without flowers and the brightness though? it is a wonderful aspect of nature that makes our world beautiful!

  3. i never thought of a flower having such feelings but you really opened my eyes and made me think that there is so much more to a simple flower, it is simply the essence of our lives.

  4. Chelsea, I like your first line about how people assume flowers are so wonderful, but really they have a boring life. This can be applied to people too, I suppose. I would like to see more imagery and figurative language in your poem and also focus on word choice a bit.
