Israel-Palestine Conflict

young Jew is da name and rappin’ is the game.
here to complain about da nation palestane.
after WW two it was the world against the Jew and we didn't know what to do.
so we decided it would be great to have our own state safe from the hate before it was too late.
we were given a piece of land from the middle east.
boy was it grand to say the least but it destroyed the peace.
now we're in a war with the sand peeps.
nobody sleeps knowin' those creeps
are trying to find a way to ruin our day and night,
they return to fight and, yo, this shit aint right.

A-to-da-rab is what I am called. Don’t be hatin' just cuz I’m bald.
I am here to propose a fate for this unjust Israeli state.
After WWII my home was invaded by the Jew.
They tried to argue their side but it was more like a rant of their pride.
They had reasons I know aint true.
Their biblical arguments aren’t thought through.
This has been our land for such a long time and to take it away is an unforgivable crime.
It was Europe who hated on the Jew so they should now take care of them too.
It is my demand that we keep our land.
If Europe is who care then they should be the ones to share.
You have taken our land with all your might, you bet your ass we are going to fight.

How many are gonna cry and how many must die before you decide that we shouldn’t be banned from our own holy land? We gonna build a wall to save us all and it will never fall, guarded 24 7 violators sent to heaven. It’ll create a separation from your unworthy population and guard the real god’s nation.
If this is your plan it does not make you a man
All you want to do is hide so how can you take any pride If you want to build a wall we will set off bombs till you all crawl
There is no way you can trap us all we will surely make it fall
Freedom will be ours; you can’t keep us behind bars

There aint nothing but lead in your toweled head
If you ran the land it would be better off dead
Too many die cause of suicide, bombers decide
That they don’t like the way we live, so they kill women and kids?
How is that justified?
We’re on slippery slope and beginning to slide
Before we make the world divide and choose a side
I think it would be wise to create a compromise

I agree we need to compromise in order to save some lives
Let’s visualize a place where no one dies
But how we gonna find a solution to this violent pollution
Maybe the land could be split so the fighting will finally quit
We shall divide the nation based on population

It would stop the civil violation and protect the next generation
Then we need to move people behind the newly designed green line

Yeah that sounds fine and things will mend over time
The last issue that’s rather shitty, what we gonna do with our holy city?

The only way we can make this fair is if we leave Jerusalem for everyone to share
Let’s keep it a neutral spot, this maybe our last shot

I like that a lot ..so …..why not?

Art - Katie Hitchcock

I am an expression of the soul,
story of the mind,
painting of the heart.

I lie in the eye of the beholder.
Where do I end?
Where do I start?

I am noticeable,
intriguing,
sweet or tart.

I spring from everything,
obvious or subtle.
Who ever could I be? Simply art

Let Peace by Kayleigh Esswein

Let peace radiate,
Emanate from every cell and star,
Shine from the canyons to the cliffs,
Be the picture of sun rays.
Let peace ring,
Reverberate in every valley,
Resound from the timeless sunsets,
Be the harmony of waves.
Let peace attend,
Frequent capitals and country sides,
Escort the generations to come,
Be the future that saves.

A POEMS BURDEN

I am a poem colorful and long
But some days i wish i were a song
I can rhyme or have prose
but its best when it flows
Haku or Limerik I take many forms
Many people hate i am out of the norm
Its hard being a poem and that the truth
step into my shoes and i will show you

True Happiness

True Happiness is what everyone wants,
it really only happens just once.
This only comes true for a select few,
if you live your life right it could be you.
Be true to yourself and act as you are,
your life and your happiness will go far.
Treat people how you want to be treated,
do this and you will never be defeated.
Life is short so live it fast,
live everyday like it was your last.
Live by this and life will be great,
just overall love and no more hate.

Perfection

Perfection is undefinable beauty,
Your perfect is not my perfect,
So can we make a perfect world?
A world that is truly perfect for all?
Imperfection surrounds us,
but it's what creates diversity,
and makes everyday a new one,
One to be lived like non other.

The Now - Maura Hartley

the world keeps spinning, spinning,
spinning.
the life on the planet always goes on,
continuing
destruction and devastation disappear in
the yesteryear,
and all that is left is the here and
now.
every moment untouched, unscathed, unsoiled,
new and ready for memories unspoiled.
there is no future. there is no past.
live every moment as the
last.

Change - Evan DePuy

Rioting, stealing, raping, shoving.
There are many ways to get a point across.
Violence can be used.
It doesn't create change,
but animosity.
If transformation is the goal,
try peaceful protest.
No one gets abused.
No one gets beaten.
No one gets hurt.
It is the way to a revolution,
and peace.

Black Bear's Burden -Amelia Flaharty

Big and black, always in a hurry
To find good food we gotta hurry

Livin' within the trees
Always be buggin' by bees

No good place to sleep
Maybe we'll sit and weep

Little cubs to take care
All I am is one big, black bear

My body's so large
I look like I'm in charge

When really I must protect
My whole life a defect

Raidin' all the trash
Findin' nothin' worth any cash

Bein' friendly I don't dare
All I am is one big, black bear

Innocence- Jenna Peters

The life I live is full of struggle yet strength
Israel's constant attack and control buds tension
The fire burns within me to make them pay
The realization of what i must do was blunt in front of me

The smell of sweat and dust burned in my nostrils
I kept my eyes closed I had to focus-
I couldn't bare to see the families, the innocence
I had to remember my purpose, my paradise

I grasped for my bag, my hands beginning to sweat
The strap felt like a ball of fire, full of power, my own power
The doubt swirling in my mind flushed out
I would die a martar and prove to the Islams they had no right

I clicked the button awaiting the innocent-
Screams...just silence, it was done

Wisdom-christopher holmquist

Wisdom is good
Wisdom is great
Wisdom well help me get a date

Wisdom can be good
But common sense can be fake
Wisdom still takes the cake

Common sense helps make quick decisions
But wisdom can decide your fate
Like fishing with some bait

A Saudi Arabian Woman

Men are like Gods; we're made to believe
Freedom and equality- we'll never achieve
Women are useless is what they say
Without any rights, we're forced to obey
The birth of a daughter is a dreaded event
Living as a man is a life well spent
A life without happiness that we can never flee
From the clutches of men, we'll never be free

Lauren Siegel "The Last Word"

I order my favorite dish,
Sit down at my table and ponder.
Thinking about our lives together,
I can't wait any longer.
She's the one, I'm sure.
I push my chair back,
And start to walk out.
But the sound was too big,
Before I know it, I'm on the ground.
Breathing.
But barely alive.
My limbs are torn apart,
Like razors taken to paper.
The pain burns all over.
Make it stop.
Breathing.
I taste my own blood,
And all I see is darkness.
The dizziness takes over me.
My broken body laying,
Breathing, but barely alive.
My broken hand drops the sapphire ring:
The last movement of me.
My broken mouth utters broken words,
Hoping that she hears them somehow:
The last movement of me.
I Love You.

Morgan Cox/Obama's Burden

Under pressure from day one
The amount he has to do must weigh a ton
People are watching every step he takes,
Along with the decisions and laws he must make
Barack Obama is our first black President
Now needing to get our nation back on track
Left without words
Mouth frozen still
Eyes glued to the t.v.
As the world does the opposite of stand still

picture perfect.

picture perfect?
i know that this world ain't
suicide bombers,
filled with rational hate.
walking down a corridor, sitting outside a cafe, or riding a bus
an overwhelming feeling taking over - a life ending rush.

perfect picture.
a world without coordinated gangs.
all people want is change.
a place to live and rest,
life's serenity at its best.
children's' playful laughs abroad
no ones fate is undetermined by a god.

picture perfect?
or perfect picture.
its our choice
an action that needs a voice.

Anna Poirot--Tic

Tic.
I am born.
I am hearing, seeing all around me.
Tic.
No more.
I see blackness. Moving.
More talking, my ears buzz with excitement.
Tic.
It is bright. The sangtity of my swollen heart seems
Filled. Glee. Children.
Tic. men in suits. Tic.
Some argue also. Some cry. Tic. It smells of dirt,
Like the desert, tic, a hot day. Tic. I taste sand. Tic.
Child fights with mother. Tic.
Woman recieves news: divorce. Tic tic.
And I explode.

Bobby Glass, For the Children

For the Children

The power I hold is amazing,
with one push of a button everything erupts into flames.
I must not reveal,
I must be sneaky.
I will become a martyr and will be heavily rewarded in heaven,
if I am successful.

The screeching halt of the bus sounds and I know it is time.

Stepping up the slim, long stairs my heart beats,
like a round drum.
Sitting in the seat of the tight, cold , metal bus,
I realize, seats filled with children laughing in joy.
Glee is such a wonderful thing to keep forever,
then I notice the parents are yelling and I ask myself.

Is this the best option for them?
Should their lives be filled with destruction, madness, and hate?
No, they should not, I'll take them with me.
Clutching the tight, round button, I push it,
everything erupts sending metal shrapnel flying, and we are all set free.
